Tiny plastic bits, way smaller than a grain of sand, are everywhere in soil and water, and they're not just sitting there. They act like little taxis, picking up pollutants and bacteria and carrying them into plants, animals, and eventually us. Scientists have already found these plastic fragments in human blood, placenta, and even lungs, and they're starting to link them to inflammation and gut health problems, though nobody has proven yet that the plastics directly cause these issues.
