Biodegradable braces ties don't exist yet, study finds

Researchers went looking for scientific studies on braces ties and orthodontic parts made from materials that break down naturally instead of ordinary plastic. After searching nearly 150 papers, they found that not a single one actually tested a real biodegradable version; all the candidates were just regular plastic.
